2-Gun Shoot

The first action shoot will be: Sunday March 24th Registration starts at 9:30am and first shots at 10am.
2 Gun Shoot – Rifle / Pistol
Round requirements: 20 rifle cartridges and 12 pistol cartridges. Entry fee is $10 per competitor per round played.
Course of fire:
There will be 2 vtac barriers placed around 80 and 60 yards and staggered as to not
block lanes of fire.
All competitors will fire 12 shots on the first barrier and fire another 8 shots at the second
barricade for a total of 20 shots. Competitors will then make clear by dropping the mag and
running the action or dropping the mag on a firearm with the bolt locked in the rear position.
Once this step is done the competitor must dump their rifle in the area provided or touch the rifle
dump area if they are to clear and let hang their firearm.
Once the rifle section is cleared around 50 yards competitors will draw and load their
pistol.
ALL PISTOLS WILL REMAIN UNLOADED UNTIL THE COMPETITOR IS AT THE
PISTOL PORTION OF THE STAGE.
Competitors will then advance to the first firing position.
There are 3 firing positions that will go from 50 to 35 yards(special care will be taken to ensure
firing positions are no closer than 30 yards, equivalent to the distance to the plate rack on the
pistol range). At each position competitors will fire 4 shots and use a total of 12 shots on the
pistol portion. Firearms will finish the course of fire and will be empty or should be emptied and
made clear before clearing the range and resetting.
For both pistol and rifle one mag change is required (mag refers to any device designed to quickly reload such as a stripper clip or speed reloader).
● Rifles will be loaded after the competitor is instructed to do so.
● Sidearms/pistols will remain holstered and unloaded until they reach the pistol portion of
the course of fire.
● Handicaps for certain firearms will be given in accordance with the handicap given by
the MPRA.
○ Bolt action rifles : -45 seconds
○ Lever action rifles: -60 seconds
○ Revolver(Pistol only): -20 seconds
● Score will be time based
● Minimum hit requirements are in place. Competitors must have a minimum hit ratio
equivalent to 50% of the shots taken.
● A bonus reduction in time will be given if the competitor scores 13 hits for rifle and 6 hits
for pistol. Additional hits will result in a greater bonus
● Holsters for pistols are REQUIRED
● Slings, mag carriers, battle belt/ duty belts are recommended but not required.
● All types of firearms, firearm accessories are allowed to be used with minor exceptions.
● M855/armor piercing ammo, tracer/incendiary ammo, 50 cal/ magnum rifle calibers, machine guns, WOT/FRT and binary triggers are all prohibited at NLRG matches.
