Action Rifle Shoot

Summary:

This rifle event will test your shooting ability under stress (timed) and elevated heart rate (movement).  It involves multiple shooting positions and movement from position to position. One IPSC silhouette target will be placed at the 200y line.

Requirements:

• Any MA legal rifle – All Rimfire and CenterFire aside from .50BMG allowed
• At least 2 magazines (no more than 10 rounds loaded per mag)
• 20 rounds of ammunition per run
• Ability to walk / run 200 yards out and back
• Ability to transition from and shoot from multiple positions

Course of Fire:

Once the timer starts you drop to prone and take one shot from 180y, engage safety, move to the next position at 170y, drop to prone, take one shot, engage safety, move to the next position.

Repeat this 2 more times going to 160y and 150y, Then move up to the 4 position barricade and take one shot though each marked spot on the barricade at 140y. Barricade positions are kneeling, siting , prone and canted.

Engage safety move up to the 2nd barrace and take 4 more shots from similar positons. Engage safety then move to the 2 position barricade and take kneeling and prone shot from 70y. Engage safety and move to 55g drum placed at 50y and take one prone or kneeling shot from each side of the drum.

Stand up and while advancing towards the target from 50y – 20y take 4 shots off hand.

Timer stops.
